Sambor Prei Kuk

We visited the ruins of these 7th century temples in the Kompong Thon area before going on to our home stay. (another post!)  These temples are said to be the inspiration for the temples at Angkor.  During the Angkor time period these temples served as an important learning centre.  There were three different complexes and we walked to all of them on a very hot sweaty afternoon.  While I enjoyed them by the end I think we all were thinking "enough already!".  However I am very glad I got to see them.  Here are some photos in no particular order.
