One of the traditions in Upper Franconia in Northern Bavaria is decorating their town fountains for Easter. My friend Claudia had told me about the tradition and I had hoped someday I would get to see them...well I arrived a few days after Easter and sure enough, the decorations were still up. I found it so charming - these eggs are all decorated by the locals.
So here are some photos I took...by the way these are all real egg shells (some of the other nearby towns use plastic eggs.) .......hope you enjoy them as much as I did! .
